CAPS Science Achievement Award is given to the project in 7th-11th grade that demonstrates excellence in one of the areas of science that CAPS members represent. Winners are given the option to move on to the Outstanding Young Scientist (OYS) Competition that will culminate in an event in Sacramento in the Fall. Students who receive this award are instructed to keep their projects intact for the OYS Competition.
