American Chemical Society

The American Chemical Society is the world’s largest scientific society with 155,000 members representing a wide range of disciplines of chemists, chemical engineers, and technicians.  The organization promotes the public’s perception and understanding of chemistry through public outreach programs, and provides career development assistance for science professionals.  The Orange County Section has over 1,300 members.  The Education Committee provides testing and awards programs for high school and college chemistry students.
